YMCA Receives Arby's Grant for Tween Programs

The YMCA of Rock River Valley is thrilled to be a recipient of Arby’s Foundation Make a Difference campaign. As part of the annual in-restaurant fundraising program, Arby’s restaurants raised nearly $6 million to support national organizations dedicated to providing kids the future they deserve. This year, nearly half of the funds raised ($2.88 million) will be reinvested locally in communities across America.

In Rockford, $10,800 has been granted to the SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA. The funds will be used to help the Tween Scene programming. The Tween Scene is a space dedicated to kids ages seven to 12 at the downtown YMCA.

“This fundraiser is an important part of helping make sure that every child in our community has the opportunity to reach their full potential,” said Abbey Ramsey, Director of Marketing at DRM, Inc., a franchisee of Arby’s. “We’re thrilled to be able to give back and reinvest funds in Rockford for such a significant cause.”
