Linette Rojas Named 30 Under 30

The YMCA of Rock River Valley is proud to announce Linette Rojas, a personal trainer and group fitness instructor in the healthy living department, has been named to the 2021 YUSA Emerging Leaders Resource Network 30 Under 30.  There were 121 nominations, nationwide, and she was one of 30 chosen. The 30 Under 30 program recognizes staff who are full of excitement, passion and purpose, and furthering the Y’s mission and values. They are under the age of 30 with a strong record of innovation in their fields, outstanding performance in their YMCAs, and a clear track record of meaningful community involvement, especially in areas of Diversity Inclusion and Global initiatives that align with the YMCA mission of strengthening community and being For All.

Rojas has a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. In the past 5 years, she completed an additional associate’s degree in Exercise Science and her master's degree in Exercise Science and Sports Nutrition, all while working full-time at the Y, plus part-time elsewhere. She has conceptualized and implemented many healthy living programs for the Y including the Healthy Gains Challenge, Health First, Healthy Kids Healthy Families, Group Extravaganza, G.Y.M. Class and Group Ex 101. Additionally, she played an integral part in the Black History Month and Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations at the Y.
