The Y Brings Back Corporate Cup

The YMCA of Rock River Valley is bringing Corporate Cup back to the region. The challenge, which dates back to the 1990s, pits area companies and employees against one another in a series of fun, competitive games. The event will take place October 5 & 6 and we are currently enrolling teams.

“We all love a good competition,” said Nick Maier, Director of Membership and Corporate Engagement, YMCA of Rock River Valley. “Corporate Cup was a hit many years ago and we thought it would be fun to bring it back. It builds community and a sense of pride for employees.”

The YMCA Corporate Cup provides friendly, values-based competitions that encourage participation of athletes and non-athletes alike in events that focus on togetherness and having a good time. The activities include a 5k run, 1-mile walk, dodgeball, basketball skills, tug-o-war, canoe battleship and bags.

Companies will be divided into three divisions based on size. Awards will be given to the top team in each division. We will also award an MVP to the top individual in each division. All funds raised go to support the Y's Annual Campaign.
