3/7 - The North Pool at the SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA is now open. We thank you for your patience during this unexpected closure.
3/4 - The North (warm water) Pool at the SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA will not reopen on March 5 as previously thought. The water temp is currently 55 degrees. We normally refill during warm summer months and have never had to raise the temperature more than 30 degrees. We have the heater running and will likely open the pool when it hits 80 degrees, which is a bit cooler than the normal 88 degrees.
Previous Announcement:
We have experienced an unexpected water quality issue in the North Pool (warm water) at the SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA. We are draining the pool and refilling this week to fix the issue. We do our best to manage the chemical levels daily, but sometimes issues pop up. We understand this will be an inconvenience to our members and we sincerely apologize for the lack of notice. Timing is not on our side, as the Northeast Family YMCA pool is also closed for previously scheduled maintenance on our sprinkler system. The Northeast pool is scheduled to reopen March 9.
The South (lap) Pool will be open for lap swim per the pool schedule. There will be no open swim available in the South Pool.
