Mike Broski, a long-time YMCA board member and volunteer, has begun serving his first term as a Board member of the Illinois State Alliance of YMCAs.   Broski joins 13 other YMCA leaders and volunteers from across the state of Illinois to provide strategic direction to the Alliance’s efforts on behalf of Illinois YMCAs.

The Illinois State Alliance of YMCAs brings together more than 800 YMCA program locations impacting more than 150 communities and engaging nearly 1 million Illinoisans to strengthen the foundations of community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.  Efforts of the Alliance focus on advocacy, statewide initiatives, training, and partnerships with other statewide organizations.

“We are excited to have Mike join the Alliance Board of Directors,” stated Christy Filby, Executive Director for the Illinois State Alliance of YMCAs. “His experience as a board member with the YMCA of Rock River Valley, and as a leader in his business and within the Rockford community will bring fresh ideas and quality leadership to the Alliance.”

Broski has been a long-time supporter of the Rockford community, including serving on the Boards of the YMCA of Rock River Valley, Rockford Chamber of Commerce and Rockford Meld.  Broski is also the chair of the Y's 2019 Annual Campaign. He also helped spearhead a fundraising campaign to renovate the Roy Gayle baseball park.

Broski is currently President and co-owner of Entré Computer Solutions in Machesney Park, Illinois.
